I am very happy and grateful to VolCon for giving me an opportunity to come here. I found a lot of interest and energy for employee volunteerism especially in the corporate sector. Employee volunteers are the untapped potential for any social sector organisations. Many times, I found that volunteers want to change the world when they come out. I don’t think they can change anything outside.
We are a volunteer-driven organisation. VolCon is a great platform for NGOs to collaborate with other organisations and do more for the society. Last year, we engaged more than 5000+ volunteers in Chennai and Hyderabad. This kind of platform encourages us to see and learn from people in various sectors.
VolCon is well organized and much needed conference in India to promote volunteering. It brings many like minded people from different industries, sectors together which provides cross-learning experience. Looking forward for next year's VolCon.
Since, it was the first ever conference I have attended, which had an equal mix of NGOs and corporates, I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned so much from it! Right from the topics, to the speakers, to the networking space and learnings! It was all amazing! Hope I can be a part of it next year as well! (As a finalist again)
The conference helped me to understand the motives and impact of volunteering in long term. I liked the diverse perspective of volunteering from all walks of society – Government, CSO, NGOs and Corporates.The sessions were very brief and I felt we could have less sessions with more time.
Thank you for the wonderful manner in which this event was curated. It was so interesting to see the mix of people - from Corporates and from Social Impact organisations, from across the country. I saw a lot of interest in collaboration. It might be great to have an even-bigger forum to collaborate with, on areas other than Road Safety as well. And could we work with Pothole Raja for projects adjacent with Road Safety. Thanks for your thought-leadership in this space and for keeping us all aligned.
VolCon 2020 was well organized. Got to meet people who are passionate about volunteering and who are doing tremendous work. It is a great forum to exchange ideas and meet like minded people.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to present this concept to the larger crowd. It was very motivating to receive a thumbs up from so many people. Well worth all the patience, hard work and follow up done till now. I felt like a celebrity(with no intentions or desire to become one)
